11 charged with murder, racketeering in alleged Indianapolis-based drug trafficking ring

INDIANAPOLIS — Eleven people face murder and racketeering charges alleging that they are members of a large and violent Indianapolis-based drug trafficking ring.

Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry announced Friday that Richard Grundy III, his wife, father and eight associates have been charged in the alleged ring that trafficked in marijuana.

Grundy is accused of acting as the head of a group called the “Grundy organization” that Curry says is suspected in connection with at least six murders and four nonfatal shootings since 2012.
